Dr. Roger Taur earned his B.Sc. degree from National Cheng Kung University, M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree from Utah State University. He had worked over 30 years in space and defense industries in USA and he retired as the Chief Scientist at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale, California. He is now consulting internationally on satellite communications and space technologies, mainly based on his practical experiences. In recent years, he served as consultant to some leading space and defense companies, in USA, France, and Japan.
Dr. Taur’s research and work experience include satellite communications, military communications, radar systems, antennas, propagation, microwave devices, communication security, and system architecture. Dr. Taur was a member of the original Iridium development team. He was the technical chairman of MILCOM 1990, a premier international conference for military communications.
